It is a piece of modern art!
The quality of this fixture is nice, and the size is perfect for a mid-size room. It provides good lighting and works well with a dimmer. Picked this one together with my 9 year old daughter. The lamp is in her room and she loves it.
Love this Nelson pendant
This is the third Nelson pendant I've purchased, and I love this pear shape. The smaller size looks more significant in person and gives a modern touch without being too much. I have this in a reading corner of a study/family room area and I bet it would be great in a hallway or staircase too.

beautiful lamp that softens the light from florescent bulbs
I almost feel silly reviewing this lamp, since it is such a design icon, but it is like functional sculpture. Despite its modern shape, it looks just lovely in the entryway of my traditional house. Because of the soft off white color of the fabric shade, it mellows the florescent-y cast of my "green" light bulbs to a more traditional soft light. Highly recommend!
Really fantastic and simple design
The lamp is extremely well packed, and the easiest pendant we've ever installed. The shade materials are very solid & well made, and yet retain a light, airy feel. The simple design doesn't distract once hung -- it adds a quiet modern elegance to the room. And the white shade materials diffuse the light perfectly. Ylighting provided prompt email communication and shipping service. We are trying to resist purchasing another one...
